About Me

For as long as I can remember, I've had a passion a deeper understanding, and an ability to build connections between opposing ideas.

In 2015, I graduated SUNY Stony Brook University with a B.A. in Environmental Humanities, and a minor in Studio Art with a focus in Sculpture. I studied how to communicate environmental issues through medias such as journalism, architecture, anthropology, sustainable landscape design, and art.

In 2016, I studied Herbalism with the Arborvitae school of Herbal Medicine in New York City. I wanted to offer people an option to heal themselves outside of conventional medicine, while also building another form of connection between humans and the natural world.

I loved what I studied, but I wasn't making the type of impact I hoped for. Something was still missing.

In 2018, I decided to go back to school for Massage Therapy at The Finger Lakes School of Massage in Mount Kisco, NY. I was given a deep understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology,  as well as the human psyche and spirit from my professors and fellow classmates.

After a few years into my practice, I noticed that massage wasn't always enough. Clients came to me with muscle imbalances from routine movements, which caused weakness in other parts of the body. These imbalances create compensations, which leads to dysfunctional movement and restriction within the muscle's natural range of motion. This is the recipe for chronic pain. I already knew anatomy and kinesiology, and have incorporated fitness and health into my own personal life for years.  I thought, let me study the body even more, but from a different perspective.

I became certified in Personal Training, Sports Nutrition, Corrective Exercise, and Strength & Conditioning with ISSA (International Sports Science Association), and received my Elite Trainer certification in 2022. In 2023, I completed Michael Boyle's Level 1 Functional Strength Conditioning certification (CFSC).

Today,  I not only see the body from a massage therapist's perspective,  I look at the body as a whole system with many working parts. I want to help you live a more pain-free,  less stressful, and more fulfilling life through a better functioning body.

I hope to incorporate more of my environmental  and herbal medicine education into my practice in the future. As of now, I use organic, responsibly-sourced products as often as possible. I will not use synthetically based products in any of my treatments. I make sure the products I use are as "clean" as possible.

I will continue to study,  build off my current knowledge, and make more connections in order to offer my clients the tools that will help them build a healthy lifestyle.
